The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the United Kingdom released the behind the scenes of the first rehearsal for this year’s British Pageant, yesterday July 24. Members of the LDS Church gathered with directors and choreographers to begin the rehearsal for their performance.
The British Pageant is a heart-warming story of a first set of missionaries who arrived in Preston, United Kingdom. LDS.org
described the pageant as:
[A] compelling and engaging story, music and dancing will take you back to an exciting time in British history.
A cast member described the performance as “challenging but very rewarding” saying:
“The rehearsals for the British Pageant differ quite a lot from a lot of secular performances that I’ve done. Very often the director will have a very strict idea of what needs to happen. But here there’s a lot more freedom to let the scene be what it needs to be according to the needs of who’s watching and who’s performing. Which is challenging but very rewarding,” says cast member Robin Dick.
The Pageant runs 1-5 and 8-12 August on the Preston Temple Grounds in Chorley. Tickets are free of charge. Visit ldsbritishpageant.co.uk
