Filipino members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints rejoiced after President Thomas S. Monson announced temple plans for a new temple in Greater Manila.

The announcement came from the Sunday Morning Session of the 187th semi-annual General Conference of the LDS church in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is reported to be located in Alabang Muntinlupa City under the Cavite Philippines Mission.

This will be the fourth temple of the church in the Philippines in addition to currently operating temples in Quezon City Philippines, Cebu City and the previously announced temple in Urdaneta.
