States of the Flesh: Translation

A temporary, long term change wrought upon mortals. A sanctified state of mortality that persists until the person is resurrected.

A translated person is still mortal, but sanctified and unable to die or feel hunger, thirst or physical pain. Translated persons can feel sorrow for the sins of others whom they observe and to whom they minister.

“Persons who are changed so that they do not experience pain or death until their resurrection to immortality.”

I believe all translated persons have had their calling and election made sure, and that receiving that ordinance is a prerequisite to translation. But, not everyone who has had his calling and election made sure is translated.
