Manila Philippines –The newly elected President of The Republic of The Philippines Rodrigo Duterte had his first State Of The Nation Address to the citizens of the Philippines earlier today, there are words and/or statements in Duterte’s speech that are very inspiring, here are 6 Quotes from President Duterte’s First State Of The Nation Address.
1. Pressforward
“We cannot move forward if we allow the past to pull us back.”
2. Trust
“Those who betrayed the people’s trust shall not go unpunished; they will have their day of reckoning.”
3. Human Rights
“Human rights must work to uplift human dignity. Human rights can’t be used as an excuse to destroy the country.”
4. Global Warming
“Addressing global warming shall also be our top priority but upon a fair and equitable equation.”
5. Love one Another

Some of the quotes might be somehow similar to the church teachings, it is reported that the President of The Philippines Rodrigo Duterte have already met Missionaries and have visited an LDS Chapel before. It is also reported that Duterte keeps a copy of The Book Of Mormon inside his house.
President Miole, a former Mission President and President Duterte are good friends. The president have also attended Institute.
