10 Commandments: Thou Shalt Have No Other Gods Before Me

Thou shalt have no other gods before Me. As the word God is predicated of truth In a more inner meaning or spiritual meaning, signifies that truths must not be thought of from any other source than from God. That all truth comes forth from God and not from the self intelligences, or minds of man, and that these truths are discovered by man, who spiritually seek Him.

Alma 38:9 Behold, he is the life and the light of the world. Behold, he is the word of truth and righteousness.

Either 4:12 And whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do good is of me; for good cometh of none save it be of me. I am the same that leadeth men to all good; he that will not believe my words will not believe me — that I am; and he that will not believe me will not believe the Father who sent me. For behold, I am the Father, I am the light,band the life, and the truth of the world.

D&C 84:45 For the word of the Lord is truth, and whatsoever is truth is light, and whatsoever is light is Spirit, even the Spirit of Jesus Christ.

DC 93:26 The Spirit of truth is of God. I am the Spirit of truth, and John bore record of me, saying: He received a fulness of truth, yea, even of all truth;

John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
