During the Young Single Adults devotional, held last Friday, June 19, Elder Arnulfo Valenzuela of the Mexico Area Presidency reassures that despite the chaos caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, God’s work continues thanks to the availability of technology.
We in the Area Presidency are working online with 99% of Church leaders, this, of course, includes full-time missionaries who are doing formidable work from their departments.
Elder Valenzuela then proceeds his talk by congratulated the youth on their determination to continue studying the Gospel online. The General Authority also stressed that while missionary work is bearing fruit through online proselyting, what will never be virtual are sacred ordinances like the baptism.
“The work continues in Mexico, we continue to invite people to receive the Restored Gospel through missionary work; We invite you to join this effort that today is virtual. What is not virtual are the ordinances of baptism and confirmation.”
Since the lockdown in Mexico, the missionaries and members have been using the internet to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to their friends.
