On January 2020, the First Presidency announced an adjustment to temple clothing. According to the letter by the Church, the new design is designed to enhance members’ experience in the temple and make the ceremonial clothing easier to put on, care for, and afford.
The new design was originally scheduled for release on March 31, 2020 but because of the COVID-19 pandemic it has been delayed. The Church released the following statement: The launch of new temple ceremonial clothing, which was originally scheduled for March 31, 2020, is delayed due to the pandemic. The Church will make the new ceremonial clothing available through the online store and retail outlets at a later date.
