Missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have been safely evacuated after the island of Ambae declared national state of emergency.
Over 1500 households have been evacuated from South and North Ambae to West and East. The church from the island of Santo have been called to assist the NDMO with the evacuation of the locals.
According to Mormon Newsroom, church missionary welfare have provided the NDMO a list of supplies they have in hand that can help with immediate needs.
