Young People Of The Church Helps Assemble Hygiene Kits For Mothers And Babies

Mormon Helping from Henderson Valley, Aukland and helped put together 100 hygiene kits for mothers and babies in Waitakere Maternity Hospital.

A service project organizer, Marilyn Manukia, explained that the items in the packs were donated by members of the church on Henderson Valley Ward. The said event was part of their annual ward conference weekend.

“Each ward in our church holds a conference once a year,” she said.

On many occasions the weekend invlolves community service.

Hospital midwife, Rachael Wilson, said, “this kindness will add quality to the mothers’ stay in the hospital and will help mothers bond with their babies.”
