Sometimes we ought to just wink or nod at ourselves, or at others, when ignorance, or transgressions are committed, as oppose to putting a obstacle, snag, or stumbling block in our own path, or in some one else’s path. Whereas we, or they, may falter, or esteemeth thyself, or himself, to be thy enemy, especially if it is not that serious. Judgement of self, or others can depress and dampen the mind, and cause malice and torment of the soul! Words are powerful and can injure the conscience, and harm ones morale, or confidence of another, or self! The Lord has His arms wide open, and for the most part is not pointing and shaking His finger, and so we should likewise follow His example.
Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth
Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent
