Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints carried out a service initiative at the Hospital Infantil de México Federico Gómez (HIMFG) in Mexico City in connection with Children’s Day. The activity took place on April 29, 2026, and included the donation of toys and recreational events for pediatric patients.
The program featured storytelling sessions, a theater performance, and the distribution of toys in different hospital areas, including hospitalization wards, outpatient clinics, and oncology services. The initiative was carried out in collaboration with Mexico’s Unit for Religious Affairs, Social Prevention, and Reconstruction of the Social Fabric within the Ministry of the Interior.
Hospital staff, volunteers, and officials from the hospital administration were present during the event, including the hospital’s general director. The activity highlighted the role of play and cultural engagement in supporting emotional well-being for children receiving medical care and reinforced efforts to promote dignity and companionship in healthcare settings.
