Often times we need to go a hunting to dig for precious stones, sometimes deeply buried, and hidden, searching for the special truths of faith of the gospel of Christ, in all places, especially those sometimes hard to find in the holy scriptures, at times founded when reading them over and over again. Persistence and endurance pays the price, and is the price of admission.

They then will give us freedom, and will enlighten, edified, uplift, and enlarge our souls. That they, with the experiences given through trials, and adversity, may teach us of God, and teach us how to behave, to learn the things needed to know for our own progression, to become like Christ. We then can even learn the things of God, of which are many, the meat of the gospel, as to then, to give us the power to establish righteousness, and the cause of Zion. If we do desire, seek, and stretch, God can and does give us of His spirit, revelations, even through dreams, visions, and voices of truth, to the opening up of our minds and understanding, pertaining to His kingdom here on earth, and also to the things of heaven. For knowledge from God demands a certain payment. Therefore, oh God, help us to search, and to dig that we may find, that we might pay the price, that we may find knowledge, righteous reasons, truths of faith, intelligence, wisdom and lastly to bare us up on eagles wings that we might see the heavens, and we think to see the glory of God, and eternal life, our Savior and Master, for the glory of God is intelligence, light, and truth.

“The glory of God is intelligence, or, in other words, light and truth.  Light and truth forsake that evil one.  Every spirit of man was innocent in the beginning; and God having redeemed man from the fall, men became again, in their infant state, innocent before God.  And that wicked one cometh and taketh away light and truth, through disobedience, from the children of men, and because of the tradition of their fathers. But I have commanded you to bring up your children’s in light and truth.”

“Whatever principle of intelligence we attain unto in this life, it will rise with us in the resurrection.  And if a person gains more knowledge and intelligence in this life through his diligence and obedience than another, he will have so much the advantage in the world to come.”
