Should We Follow The Lord Or Lag Behind?

We have to try with our might to follow the teachings of our Lord, for they will bring a measure of happiness now, and a fullness of joy in the hereafter. On a clear day it might behoove us to examine our efforts, to see if we are mostly satisfied with our behavior in following our Lord, and if not to rearrange our priorities so as to match our will with the will of God. These are difficult times, yet the caliber of people are found within this church now to be a part of that promised City of Zion. We will be the ones, among a few others, that will build up and establish this great city. The pure and heart will be found and then dwell and tarry within this city which will be spread out far and wide throughout the earth. Will we follow our Lord, all the way to this city of refuge, or will we lag behind? For in Zion one will find peace, and rest, from these worldly ways, and will also find and cherish the heavenly things of God.

Follow or not?
I would follow The Lord but, first tell me how to solve my problem or solve this problem for me.
I would follow The Lord but, show me a sign of your power
I would follow the Lord yet I want to worship these "idols" first.
I would follow the Lord but I don't like my Bishop or some members.
I would follow The Lord but, first take away my pain.
I would follow The Lord but, first take away this trial or when this trial is over.
I would follow the lord but first let me get my education. I would follow the lord but first let me get my education.
I would follow the Lord but I love this wonderful person.
I would follow The Lord but I'm too busy with work.
I would! Really I would follow! If's, but's and when
Time keeps moving.

We are the ones to build up this Great City of Zion and we therefore need to prepare, marshall, and ready ourselves for these great moments that lie ahead for which all the heavens above have waited and looked forward to with great anticipation, and excitement.

DC 45:65 - 67 And with one heart and with one mind, gather up your riches that ye may purchase an inheritance which shall hereafter be appointed unto you. And it shall be called the New Jerusalem, a land of peace, a city of refuge, a place of safety for the saints of the Most High God; And the glory of the Lord shall be there, and the terror of the Lord also shall be there, insomuch that the wicked will not come unto it, and it shall be called Zion.
