The Gift of Righteousness

The law or sin reigns to death, yet now our Lord's grace reigns unto eternal life through righteousness. The gift of righteousness by God's children, whereby we live the commandments and become justified enables God to exercise His grace and lift us up unto eternal life. One thing only comes as a free give to men-the fact of the atoning sacrifices. All other gifts must be earn. "That is that God's gifts are bestowed upon those who live the law entitling them to receive what ever is involved.

" These gifts are bestowed on those that merit such things. "Men are adjudged and accounted righteous, that is, they are justified after they keep the commandments; it is then, and then only, that they received the needed outpouring of God's grace through which they receive the gift of righteousness."

Romans 5:20 - 21 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
