Tony Award-winning actress Stephanie J. Block and her husband, Broadway and television star Sebastian Arcelus, will be the featured guest artists for the 2025 Christmas concerts with The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square. The much-anticipated performances will take place December 11–13, 2025, at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City.

The celebrated duo will perform alongside the world-renowned choir and orchestra in a musical celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Choir director Mack Wilberg expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, saying, “Stephanie J. Block and Sebastian Arcelus are wonderful, gifted performers. It will be a privilege to share the stage with such talented artists as together we celebrate the Savior’s birth during the Christmas season.”

Block, who earned a Tony Award for her performance in The Cher Show, has also starred in acclaimed productions such as Into the Woods, Kiss Me, Kate, and Falsettos. Arcelus is best known for his television roles in Madam Secretary and House of Cards, as well as his work on Broadway in Into the Woods and Jersey Boys.

In an interview, Block reflected on the opportunity to perform with the choir: “We are a prayerful family, so when Christ and family come together to meet the gifts we’ve been given, and the opportunity lends itself to share those gifts at Christmastime, we feel very, very lucky.” Arcelus added, “The opportunity to perform with both my wife and The Tabernacle Choir is an extraordinary surprise and a great honor.”

Michael O. Leavitt, president of The Tabernacle Choir, emphasized the spiritual purpose of the annual concert series. “Every year, The Tabernacle Choir looks forward to sharing the message of the birth of our Savior and the joy of the Christmas season through music,” he said.

Tickets for the Christmas concerts are complimentary but required. They will be distributed through a random selection process from October 28 to November 7, 2025, at thetabernaclechoir.org, limited to four tickets per household. Admission is open to individuals ages 8 and older.

A standby line will also be available at the Tabernacle on Temple Square 90 minutes before each 8 p.m. concert. Block and Arcelus will additionally appear on the “Music & the Spoken Word” broadcast on Sunday, December 14, at 9:30 a.m.

This year’s concerts promise to be a highlight of the Christmas season — blending Broadway brilliance, sacred music, and the timeless message of hope and joy through Christ.
