The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recently released the exterior rendering of the Okinawa Japan Temple.
The temple will be located on a half-acre site at 7-11, Matsumoto, Okinawa-Shi, Japan. According to the announcement, plans call for a two-story temple of approximately 10,000 square feet. A temple patron area will also be added on to an adjacent existing meetinghouse.
The Okinawa Japan, Temple was announced by President Russell M. Nelson in the April 2019 General Conference and will be the 4th temple in Japan. It will be used by thousands of faithful members spread throughout 260 congregations in the country.
