FamilySearch participated for the fourth consecutive year in the Buenos Aires International Book Fair, held from April 23 to May 11, 2026, at La Rural in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The exhibit offered an interactive family history experience that invited visitors to explore their ancestry and discover connections through genealogy tools.
The FamilySearch space allowed attendees to build family trees in real time with assistance from volunteers, using basic personal information such as names, dates, and places. Visitors could also search ancestral records and receive guidance while reconstructing parts of their family history during the event.
The exhibit included immersive features designed to connect participants with their heritage and cultural identity, including reconstructions of traditional family settings. It also highlighted the use of technology, including artificial intelligence, to analyze historical records and support genealogical research across multiple countries.
The FamilySearch initiative at the book fair was supported by volunteers and positioned as a free public service aimed at helping people explore their roots and preserve family history.
