TOKYO, Japan — More than 120 Filipino members and friends of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gathered in Tokyo on September 13, 2026, for a special sacrament meeting and devotional focused on worship, faith and fellowship.
The gathering was hosted by the Tokyo Stake and held at the Tokyo Temple Annex, bringing together Filipino members and friends of the Church for a day of worship and interaction.
Elder Michael John U. Teh, President of the Asia North Area, presided at the meeting and addressed those in attendance with his wife, Sister Grace Teh.
Together, Elder and Sister Teh encouraged participants to strengthen their faith in Jesus Christ and to value both the gospel and the relationships they share with one another.
In addition to the worship service, participants spent time socializing and sharing a meal together.
The event provided Filipino members and friends living in Japan with an opportunity to worship together, strengthen their faith in Jesus Christ and build friendships with one another.
The gathering continued efforts to bring Filipino Latter-day Saints in Japan together for worship and fellowship. A similar meeting for Filipino members was also held earlier in January 2026.
