In an effort to align more closely with official guidance from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and to maintain consistency with its broader media network, the Facebook Page “Mormon Quotes” will officially be renamed “The Moroni Times.”
This rebranding decision follows the Church’s well-publicized counsel to reduce the use of the term “Mormon” in favor of language that places greater emphasis on the Savior and the full name of the Church. In a 2018 statement, Church President Russell M. Nelson encouraged members and organizations to prioritize respectful and accurate references to the Church and its teachings.
“This change is part of our long-term commitment to align with the Church’s direction while also strengthening our brand identity,” said the editorial team behind The Moroni Times. “We will continue to serve our audience with faith-centered content, inspirational quotes, and meaningful stories that uplift and edify the Latter-day Saints community.”
The Moroni Times is a publication owned and operated by the same team that created Mormon Quotes. It functions under the umbrella of the broader media brand, Moroni Channel, which has been producing content for members of the Church for several years. This name change ensures greater consistency across all platforms, streamlines digital advertising, and enhances the user experience.
Importantly, the content and mission of the page will remain the same: to provide uplifting messages, quotes from Church leaders, and faith-based media that reflects the teachings and values of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
