The San Diego California Temple received a threat from a pro-ISIS group after a disturbing photo was posted online. The image shows an alleged ISIS member holding an assault riffle looking at the temple with the words coming soon on the lower left. According to NBC News San Diego there is an increase police presence after the photo circulated the net. The FBI released the following statement:
At this time the FBI is not aware of any specific and credible threat to our community. The FBI regularly assesses intelligence regarding possible threats to the U.S. and its interests abroad. We urge law enforcement and the public to remain vigilant. Members of the public should maintain awareness of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement. The FBI will continue working with federal, state, and local partners should there be any potential threat to public safety.
Moroni Channel has chosen not to show the photo since we have not yet confirmed its credibility. The LDS Church have no comment regarding the said controversy.
