During the April 2021 General Conference, President Nelson announced 20 new temples. One of them is in a major city in Asia—Singapore.
According to the newsroom, this will be the first temple in Singapore, which is home to 3,000 Latter-day Saints and seven congregations.
Singapore is the capital of the Republic of Singapore and is in the southern part of the country. Missionary work began in Singapore in 1968.
