Young Latter-day Saints volunteer to clean streets and parks in Malta

Young single adults from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Malta recently came together to clean local streets and public parks. The initiative brought 18 to 20 volunteers, armed with brooms, trash bags, and a commitment to serving their community.

The project was part of the Church’s ongoing focus on service, aiming to improve public spaces while encouraging community responsibility and kindness. Volunteers dedicated their time to creating cleaner, more welcoming environments, demonstrating that even small actions can have a meaningful impact.

A particularly memorable moment occurred when a young child in a wheelchair eagerly tried to assist with the cleanup, reminding everyone that the desire to help and contribute can come from anyone, regardless of circumstance.

The initiative was inspired by the Christian principle of sharing the light of Christ, emphasizing that acts of service can strengthen connections, bring joy to others, and uplift communities.

The Young Single Adults group is already planning additional service projects, aiming to reach more people and continue sharing the light and joy of Christ both within and beyond the community.

The message is clear: every act of service matters, every helping hand counts, and together even small efforts can bring light into the lives of many.
