Youth from across Asia to gather for 2026 FSY Conference in Southeast Asia

Youth from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and several Asian nations will gather in Southeast Asia, for the 2026 For the Strength of Youth (FSY) Conference, an international event organized by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The conference will bring together participants from multiple countries for a week focused on faith, learning, and connection in a multicultural setting.

Participants will come from a wide range of Church units, including international districts in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Central China, multiple Hong Kong stakes and districts, the Macau China District, and numerous stakes throughout Taiwan. Youth from Southeast Asia will represent Church units in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia, reflecting the growing strength and diversity of the Church in the Asia region.

Throughout the weeklong conference, youth will take part in devotionals, gospel-centered classes, service opportunities, music, and group activities designed to strengthen faith in Jesus Christ, encourage personal growth, and build lasting friendships. FSY conferences are similar to faith-based youth retreats and are designed to provide a positive, safe, and uplifting environment where young people can develop moral values, leadership skills, and spiritual resilience.

To support participants traveling internationally, the Church has arranged airfare, hotel accommodations, local transportation, and meals, allowing youth to focus fully on their conference experience. Church leaders emphasized that careful planning is essential for an event of this scale, particularly when coordinating travel and participation across multiple countries and cultures.

Participation in the 2026 FSY Conference is limited to invited stakes, districts, and missions from the participating countries. Church organizers noted that, due to capacity, visa, and logistical considerations, registration was restricted to those units formally invited. While interest from other areas was strong, some registration requests could not be accommodated, a decision that was made with care and fairness to ensure a meaningful and well-supported experience for all who attend.

This marks another international FSY Conference organized by the Church, continuing its emphasis on strengthening youth worldwide through faith-centered programs that unite young people across borders while respecting local needs and circumstances.
