The COVID-19 restrictions in Utah made it difficult for the Church to continue with its filming for the Book of Mormon series. In response to it, the Church made an announcement on July 15 to postpone filming for Season 4.
“Filming for videos depicting events from the books of 3 Nephi and Ether will occur in 2021 due to COVID-19. Episodes detailing events from the books of Helaman, Mormon, Moroni and others will be filmed in 2022.”
The Book of Mormon videos is a series produced by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints depicting historical events of people worshiping Jesus Christ in the American continent as recorded in the Book of Mormon. The series has reached recognition worldwide for its outstanding cinematography. Currently, the previous seasons of the series gained over 25 million views in over 210 countries.
