QuestionMy brothers and I are always fighting, we’re suppose to be an eternal Family, how can I spend eternity with people I don’t get along with?
David
Answer
Hello David,
“One of the reasons we are on Earth is to learn just these things! So take a tip from the Missionaries, and when you find yourself not getting along with a sibling, do that sibling a favor.
Shine his shoes, or do a chore for him, or something else to let him or her know you care.
Also read the counsel gave in Mosiah 4:15, ‘But ye will teach them to walk in the ways of truth and soberness; ye will teach them to love one another, and to serve one another.’, and heed it.
Remember, it is important to heal any breach and learn to love and get along with your family now, as eternity is a long time.
But with proper care and concern – and prayer – you will do just fine! And one last thing – worry not how your siblings act towards you, or whether they improve or not! Worry only about you improving how you act towards them, that is what will pay off.
