At least three people were killed, some missing, and injured from the tsunami waves up to 49 ft (15 m).
Two drowned in Peru when a 6’7 feet (2 m) wave struck the coast. It is likely the largest volcanic eruption in the 21st century since Mt. Pinatubo in the Philippines.
